That's the point, tank for a high pick the next year. Most of the prospects are still a ways off in terms of development and when they'll be ready for the show.

Flat out PASS.... GMBots and Housley have their foundational Dman for 10-12 years to come..... there is only one player that I would trade this #1 2018 Pick and that is Connor McDavid.

not even him. I have not seen him play but he is suppose to be a true #1 defenseman (Karlsson, Doughty etc.) I would not trade Doughty for McDavid.
