Getting under the CAP next year, and making room for Laine, Connor, Wheeler exte

Description
Due to the big paydays in the next 1-2 years, the Jets will need to start moving some contracts for CAP purposes. Mason when he was in did play well but had a rough season. Helley proved he's the #1 and he's moved to make room. Myers also had a very good year and good playoffs but paying the third pairing 10M doesn't work. If Trouba commits long term he'll need to be moved to make CAP room as well as get a return on him prior to UFA. EDM needs RHD badly and takes a flier on him while WPG takes the flier on a young RHD in the draft to hopefully be ready in 3 years when Buffs deal is up. BPA at that pick likely one of Dobson, Bouchard, Boqvist so one of them is selected to stock the farm team.

    I think that deal would intrigue Edmonton if you were to swap first rounders, instead of only giving up #twenty something, or pick 30-31

    The pick would need to be higher for the Canucks to take on a cap dump like Mason.

    And I'm willing to be that all of Boqvist, Bouchard and Dobson will be off the board by the 10th pick.

    Evan Bouchard will never make it to #10 Detroit will snap him up with their #6 pick if Adam Boqvist is off the board either to Ottawa or Arizona and one of those teams like takes Brady Tkachuk the other probably Boqvist or Bouchard.
