Winnipeg Jets at the Draft

Description
After a lengthy playoff run GM Chevyldayoff has work to do. With big name RFAs getting big raises this year and next, contracts need to be moved for CAP reasons and ELCs will become more important.
Vesalainen is ready to come over. He's not quite ready for top 6 role but playing on the 3rd line with Perrault and Little will get him acclimated to the NHL against lesser opponents while also allowing him to be the scorer on that line.
The moves made are to get the Jets back into the first round of the draft. Myers since he's unable to sign an extension, is allowed to talk to EDM about an extension and likely settles around the 6M mark for term and EDM gets a RHD they so desperately need. Size bias might also entice Chiarelli to make this move as they're not interested in futures and want to be competitive quickly.
Wpg does the move only to make the deals with MTL and EDM to get multiple first round picks. MTL needs a young #1C and RNH may be that guy if given the shot again. It allows them to Move Drouin back to the wing again as well.

OTT gets to pick one of Zadina or Svechnikov while also aquiring Armia as a depth scorer/pk with some talent. WPG gets to drop down and take a potential Buff replacement in Bouchard with the 4th pick, and then another C prospect with the 22nd. It is a long shot trade for futures but WPG needs RHD prospects and the only way to get one (since they'll likely be drafting in the 20+range annually from now on) is to trade for one. This is the year to do it. They also have a surplus of scoring wingers and can afford to pass up on Svechnikov or Zdina whomever is available at 3 and that trade also allows OTT more flexibility to deal Hoffman if they still decide to go down that road.

The CAP going up to 80M is a conservative estimate and if it goes up more great, as the Jets will need that space the next year to re-sign Connor, Laine, and Wheeler. If it doesn't go up higher then they'll either need to do a Drouin-Sergachev style deal with Connor and get another young stud on an ELC or Let Wheeler walk as a UFA. They also have options to trade Perrault, Kulikov or Buff but doubt it would have to come to that.

Only deal I think a minor add might still be required is the MTL deal but to what end? A decent prospect or a pick?

If Nuge could be traded to MTL for 3rd OA, trust me the Oilers will call Bergevin and select Boqvist at the draft long before we go after Myers. Also, A deal around myers would need to be around our 2019 1st or 2018 2nd +.

Either retain half on Mason or give up a 3rd for BUF to take him.

Mason will go to any team that need a backup for no salary retention and a mid pick
Mason is not a bad contract
He could easily play in a 1A-1b type situation
