Well your offer sheet for Shore wouldn't be for just one 1st.. it would be for 2 1sts a 2nd and a 3rd.. all of which have to be your own pick not any other team's picks you might have. And why would you give up basically: O'Reilly, Beaulieu, the 1st pick in the 2nd round and Baptiste and a 1st, when O'Reilly alone to the right team could easly net you a 1st, 2nd, a Roster Player and one or two prospects (we aren't talking about elite players here).. i know O'Reilly "hasn't done much here" (Three 55+ point seasons) and i wouldn't be oppose to trading him, but the return has to be right, and the Sabres could fetch a high price for him.

A Calgary trade for O'Reilly might be more like: O'Reilly and McCabe for a 1st 2nd, and Brodie and then why trade Brodie? WE NEED DEFENSEMEN

It's 8mill over 3 years, and yet you buffalo fans never cease to amaze me because 2.75m x 3 years is 8.25m. Both of you just wow. Also half these trades make no sense.

A 3rd round pick (while giving up a 4th) is not worth ennis and his contract. The cap wont be 80 million and if it is you are over the cap 10 hours into the first call up

Five stars for trading away O'Reilly
I think the trades are all reasonable. I do think Buffalo would be better to keep Brodie, but that is your call. Maybe getting a player who knows how to win the cup.

If Chicago is trading Saad and a 1st it's gonna be for an elite player. Brodie is good, but not that good. Baptiste is a throw in he doesn't do much for me. Hawks have plenty of depth guys like him.
