Ya no thank you. Would rather keep bowlyou as an extra dman than take on Martin.

Would also prefer to keep Martin. Good protection for the kids.

Would not trade Gardiner unless getting an equivalent Dman in return (Tanev/OEL/etc)

Over valuing Faulk and giving up too many pieces for him.

Thornton deal looks nice, not sure it'll happen though.

Gardiner is the not the same level as OEL, look at the two teams they are on and then look at how the majority of the fanbase thinks of them. Gardiner cannot defend while OEL is a top 15 defenseman hands down.

Thornton for two years is at least one year too much, maybe two years. Luke Schenn for three years? Faulk had a real down year Rather keep Borgman and the picks.

Leafs would need to add picks to trade for OEL/Tanev. The principle is getting a better top 4dman in return than what Gards offers the leafs.
