Based off the team friendly contracts proposed in my team where the Avs keep both: https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/73551

In this scenario, the Avs choose to keep Boedker but not Matthias. It's tight, but Iginla's expiring contract will make it managable going forward.

It's not even close in player's productivity. Boedker is a UFA, so the question is whether ihelikes the desert or beach, or big cities or lakes or the mountains. I'm guessing east coast.

This doesn'* leave us with enough cap space to sign a 13th forward or an 8th D-man. We're going to have to move Mitchell and/or Holden. And we'll probably want to spend less on Boedker/top6 winger. I also think MacKinnon might commander a little more money.

Barrie contract seems OK, but MacK wont be that spendy with only one UFA year locked up. Boedker may cost that much, but I am thinking that could be shaved a bit.

Overall good roster, despite short a F and D...but cap going up a bit with escalator would remedy that.
