If youre taking Nylander, I'd want a young right side forward back instead of Bear. I would not think that Pakarinen or Strome could get that done. Nor are the Sabres retaining, especially if you're coming to them. Definitely could work something out, but especially with ROR, Sabres are not in a situation where they need RNH so they dont need to lose on the deal.

good trade, Chiarelli gets his RW and a good prospect.
Botterill gets a #2 center and a defenseman prospect.

If they moved ROR, they also have Risto and Dahlen on the right side for years to come

Thanks for your comment. I like Bear as well, Nylander is a good prospect so I thought it could work. What do you think could be different?

Oilers need to go after young hungry and/or cheap. Justin Bailey is interesting in Buffalo, he could take Pakarinens spot since Iiro just signed a four year deal in the KHL. Gotta stay away from other teams former 1st round picks though, Chiarelli has a bad history with that. Plus the Oilers history of trading defenceman (especially righty’s) for scoring help, and it hasn’t worked in 12 years.

I do not think Botterill will trade Bailey, So if Bear is removed, does Okposo and pick for Hopkins work?

Yes
Also, don’t listen to Shibbel
I’m sure he’s a nice guy, but he’s a huge “homer”

Your trade as stated originally is pretty realistic
Might need to be slightly altered,
but it’s probably close

First of all... learn how to spell Dahlin
Good grief
Secondly... he’s a LH defenseman
So although he’s played SOME time on the right,
it’s much more likely to slot him in on the left side (at least for now)

Misspelled it once because I'm on my phone at the gym, Sorry. And I've already had this argument, but all the pro Sweden scouts on hear (SUPER SARCASM) told me he's 100% a RD, so fight with them - don't push that **** on me. Slotting him on the right opens up the Sabres to many more roster upgrade possibilities

Why not, Baptiste surpassed him, and their both getting up their in age without being able to win a roster spot. Baptiste was fully expected to win it out of camp last year with Bailey being a reserve guy. Instead, Griffith beat them both out and Pu won a contract because he out played the lot of them

Maybe do a little research instead of just listening to random jackasses on the internet?

The Oilers would then need to find a LW to play and keep up with McDavid, or a center to replace Draisaitl. With Nylander, Baptiste, Bailey, and PU Buffalo is flush on RW, Edmonton is deep with LD that’s a good starting point.

Do u actually watch the games?
Bailey was move to LW a year & a half ago
Baptiste is a RW

Pu has NOTHING to do with either

Bailey has lined up on both sides, but that has nothing to do with anything. You clearly don't understand what I'm saying. He's a fringe, depth guy. Nobodies going to argue that. With Olofsson and Girgensons he's just as much a depth guy on the left as he is on the right. Which brings me to the point about Pu and brings my comment full circle. Bailey and Baptiste are getting older as prospects and the Sabres have more, younger prospects coming up looking to win a spot. If they cant win an NHL spot, they aren't sitting on these guys forever. Theirs no reason Botts is going to be dead set on keeping him. Which is the answer to gretzkyghosts's quote:

And I'm the homer?
