I am seeing this from a few people so please explain to me how Stastny is worth $7 mil per?

He's not... Supply and demand will drive up his asking price, plus an extra little bit to balance out the high taxes he would pay in Montreal.

At this stage in Stastny's career, nobody is going to over pay him by giving him $7+ mil unless it is a 1 year deal.
