Schultz was the most stable defenseman and quarterbacked the best powerplay in the league instead of letang because letang was a turnover machine. He also led the Pens defense in +/-. In fact was the only Pens defenseman in the top 4 to have a positive +/- at plus 22. Horrible decision to trade him especially for Martinez.
Green is 5th defenseman at this point. paying a guy a 4 yr 22mil contract at age 32 to be a 5th dman is going to kill the cap.
