GMBots take out a few billboards in WNY welcoming Shea Weber to Buffalo...... Shea order your wings hot and saucy with extra blue cheese..... no ranch you look like a rookie.....

No way am I doing the Edmonton deal..... Risto stays as RHD are so hard to find...... the Sabres have a legit one.

laugh The reasoning for taking on his big salary is too provide a depth on defense that can play both ways, but also should help with transitioning Dahlin, and helping explain Housley's system.

I would make that trade in a heart beat, I sort of doubt Montreal would be so anxious to do it.

I agree in that they probably wouldn't do it, but if the Sabres took on another salary to make it happen, I think Botterill would be all over it. Even if it meant swapping out even Fasching for Bailey so that they can get Toronto's 2nd round pick. Bergevin definitely is not into taking on a ton of draft picks, and to get 2 guys who are ready/almost ready to play full time in the NHL to go with one of the better 2 way Centers and a solid when healthy defenseman. Botterill can use pick 3 on a winger for Jack.

I agree, there is no way MTL gives up Webber and the #3 pick in that trade.

BTW five stars for Trading O'Reilly

This is very strange because this not the 1st CF MTL GM to propose the 1st and Weber for O'Reilly.

I highly doubt it too. I feel like Bergevin may need to move Weber though due to age, length of contract left, and the fact that he doesn't fit the style of the team. I also know that it wasn't a popular move either. But if anyone can pull off the trade, it would be the Sabres. As I said, this was just for fun. How realistic, I don't know, but at least this isn't one of those Auston Matthews for a bag of pucks or Rasmus Dahlin for a bag of pucks trade offers we've seen proposed in other gm posts.
