De Haan + Kuraly at #3C?

Description
Wanted to try a different type of look for the team next year. It would be another small wave of rookies coming in, while also balancing the lines a little bit better.

Line #1 - Bergy & Marchy can play with whoever. Heinen is a high IQ, 2-way player that I think would compliment the two big boys on the line. I'd also consider BJork as he showed some good chemistry with those two during pre-season.

Line #2 - Krejci & Pasta can play well together (they have in the past) and then when you throw in a kid like Donato, it probably gives Krejci his best winger duo's in his career. I'm not a huge fan of putting Donato here, but I think he just fits the style of that line w/ Krejci & Pasta

Line #3 - Its a boom or bust line. I think DeBrusk would feed off of Kuraly's physical style of hockey and DeBrusk showed his talent these past playoffs when he is playing at his peak (before getting injured.) Bjork IMO is one of the most underrated prospect in our system. The kid can flat out play and he's going to be a very good player for a long time.

Line #4 - So this line is the one that interest me the most. You have Frederic whose a C/LW and molds his game after David Backes (hey look whose on RW). Why would you not want this kid to learn from one of his idols on a daily basis? With that, you need a #4C and I think JFK brings even more of a defensive game to that line. It's actually a line can play well defensively and can bring offense..almost like a #3b line.

Additional Details:
Why I think ARZ does it - McQuaid is a die for his team guy. Veteran shot blocker that doesn't let his teammates get pushed around. He'll be in the final year of his contract and while his hit is $2.75 million, he's only owe $2 million aka an Arizona type contract.

I think the rough plan is the better offensive jfk will get first Crack at 3rd line center.

I think he does too, I just am concerned with who his linemates would be. I like to get a mix of vets and rookies and JFK on the 3rd line could be 3 young guys (if Backes is #4RW)

Why did you not resign Khudobin? Also why is Chara playing on both PK’s? Why do you have Backes who is paid top 6 money playing on the bottom six? I would switch him with Danton and as you know I love the De Haan signing. He blocks shots and hits!!! I thought Cehlarik played well with Krejci maybe that’s a combo worth looking at.

I'm not a huge Dobby fan. He's way to inconsistent and while everyone remembers his start when he posted a .925 SV%, but no one remembers when he struggled the second half of the year with a .900 SV% and in his final 10 starts he saw it drop to .892% and he was sitting at a 2.99 GAA. I think Hutton could push Rask a little bit harder as he's younger and IMO a better #2 backup. Think about it, Hutton played for a non-playoff team and posted better numbers then Dobby did, in almost the same amount of starts. Hutton this past season was better than the STL starter was. If you compare their numbers against each other each season, you have to go back to the 2013 season see Dobby with better numbers.

Chara surprisingly played both PK's quite a bit this year. He doesn't have to do it all the time, but its not uncharted territory for him.

What Backes is paid doesn't matter. What matters is putting him in a situation to be successful and the team successful. If this means he's playing 4th line, then so be. If it means a team that can win a cup, I'm in. It all about depth and balancing lines.

The plan IMO is to have Ryan Donato take over 3rd line center next year. JFK still needs at least another year in the minors

It could be donato. I think it just shows how boston has a wealth of prospects but I'm not sure they all fit together. They may need to swap out a few for some different pieces.

My only concern with Donato is he barley could handle the d-zone responsibility of a winger, how is going to handle center?
