For sure, the Metro is just as ridiculous as the Central. Armstrong is doing something pretty similar to Hexy, just a little more on the aggressive/impatient side. He had to take a shot with that Schenn trade (and probably has forced himself into another similar trade this year). Hopefully the Blues can keep building because they either need to get really good or really bad in a hurry with all the other central teams on the rise...

Its a great time to be a Jets fan. Vesalainen, Lemieux, Niku and Appleton will all be pushing for roster spots as well. It would appear that Dano and Petan have missed their window to crack this roster and need to be moved to teams than can give them some better opportunities.

Just allowing them to stock the cupboards some more! I am first and foremost a Flyers fan but this team is fun to watch.

They need to move Salary and a lot of it. Probably will start next year but if they wait too long other teams will use that to their advantage. Laine, Connor, Wheeler and Myers all up for new contracts in the same year $$$$

Plenty of time to worry about that. Little and Perreault should be easy enough to move and I doubt they really care about re-signing Myers as long as they have Trouba and Buff. They can find a 3rd pairing guy for way cheaper than Myers. Also, they would likely just buyout Kulikov.

Being modest in terms of salary and assuming Laine scores 40+, Conner scores 30+, Wheeler cracks 80 points and they let Myers walk. They would probably have to come up with 8.5 + 6 + 7 = 21.5million. It could be more but lets just say...
Myers 5.5 + Little’s 5.3 + Wheeler’s 5.6 + Perrault’s 4.125 is 20.525 million. A buyout of kulikov will free up another 3 million ish which is now a total of 23.525 million to spend. We haven’t even considered bonus carryover... they need to move more salary then you think. They still have to fill the roster spots from the players moved out
