I wouldn't mind Carlsson but no jvr and do you really think Washington wouldn't match 2,25 million for grubby. Ahhh no

You forgot to make the trade to offer Grubby a contract, and the offer sheet of 2.5 mil will not get it done, I recommend looking at the Offer Sheet Calculator on Cap Friendly before you sign a RFA.

For starters do you see that bonus number 4162500. This is potential bonus overage money that you will have to make room for next season and also what will you do with your RFA’s next year?
I will also say I know JVR will get 6million + but as someone who has watched him for years I think you may be disappointed.
I loved JVR at 4.25, I could live with him at 5-5.25, I would hate him at 6-7 million...

John Carlson will get at least 7 years $56 million and JVR wants 6 years $36 million from the Leafs. He's not taking less from other teams.

I think JVR is pretty good fit for Krejci and DeBrusk...Even for 6 million.
