Tis the season for insanity

Initial Creation Date: May 15, 2018

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Buf is garbage as is. Hagelin gives them a guy that can significantly increase the proficiency of their PK and he can forecheck well. A mid draft pick wouldn't be a bad deal for either team.
Bengtsson, Bleuger, Jarry, and Dea are given minimum RFA raises. Rust and Oleksiak are given slightly higher raises based on performance and they take slightly less then theyre worth to stay in PIT.
The Hunwick buyout is self explanatory.
Sheary to FLA as a way for PIT to recoup some picks and restock the farm. FLA will be replacing vbrata with a different depth scorer.
Last but not least JT takes a similar deal Hossa did on a one year 'friendly' deal to try to win a cup.
If cap goes to 80 mil this leaves 1.6 mil in space for flex in the contracts Could offer JT 10 mil max and make the season work

As a pittsburgh fan, this would be unreal. I completely agree the players to go are sheary and hunwick, and if hagelin needs to move to get a superstar like JT then go for it!

Our defense was our worst factor in the playoffs this year and all we can do as a fan base is fantasize better center depth than Crosby, Malkin, Brassard, and Sheahan...

YES! Centers don't need to be touched. I'd rather get rid of those resources to bring in a piece or two on the defense corps.

I would disagree with that. In my opinion it was the depth scoring that did us in this year. Compared to last season Dumoulin and Maatta played outstanding hockey. The biggest defensive liability was letang, way too many missed assignments and way to many unnecessary jumps to try to get scoring opportunities. And obviously I wasn't kicking him out of town. I would expect him to be better next year. The team as it is needs depth guys and a rebuild farm on the d end but I thought the d core greatly improved this year.

The roster I gave here was a take on what Elliott Friedman and Pesburgh put out as Pit for the unexpected teams to put in an offer for JT...Not that they had a chance but just that the could give an offer.
