So do nothing and chill on 10 million in cap space? Not likely

They kind of have to unless tuukka is moved or krejci waives his ntc or they find a couple guys to sign 1 year deals with carlo, Mcavoy, Heinen and Donato up for the 2019-20 season and also debrusk in the following season, and it also leaves space for potential big time buyers at the deadline for a rental. We give out bad contracts this offseason it’s gonna be a chiarelli situation all over again

Oh you mean win a cup? I'm on board with that.

It's a crime to waste the last year of having five guys on entry deals. Krejci and backes lose their full NMCs next year

Yeah but the question you have to ask is do you want to consistently be in that conversation or pay guys in a relatively average FA class and have one year to win a cup, and eventually trade off some of young talent because you can’t afford them. I’d rather keep the cap space and make the move for a rental later in the year. Yeah you have to give up assets who could be as good if not better than the guys we have currently but from a franchise point of view it’s not the best year to spend to the cap via free agency

Getting rid of Backes and krejci is gonna be harder than you think, they’re contracts are just gonna look worse and worse every season that goes by. If they were rental deals then maybe you’d have a case but with multiple years left it’s gonna be tough

I don't think Krejci would be that hard. A b level prospect and eating a little salary - A lot of teams would want him for 5-6m a year. He is still productive. They may even be able to get a Brassard like deal if they eat $. Brassard got a 1st and a 3rd and Ott is covering 2m/5m. Stasny got a prospect, 1st and 4th. They are eating half his salary. Worst case, I think the Bruins could eat 2m - so - 5.25m and get a 2nd rd pick/prospect.

Backes - Agree - Very difficult. He would need to be moved with a higher prospect/pick or bought out.

If the kids like playing with each other as much as it seems, the Bruins may be able to convince them to take Bridge deals. Next off season is the big one Donato, Heinen, McAvoy & Carlo - At that point Backes and Krejci only have one year left...

Try to buy out the contract if backes and you will that won’t help because the way the contract is made

Can you use some punctuation or something to make that make sense?
