If you want the 3OA, you're probably going to have to start with the 8OA and convince MON there is a pure goal scorer to be had there (which I doubt there is). MON need scorers and Toews does a lot of things well but scoring is just not one of them. The Hawks could sit at 8 and still get Wahlstrom. They don't really need 3OA.

or montreal could not take the deal, keep the 3 overall and spend 10m on good ufa. you overvalue toews in a trading situation. doesn't toews have a nmc
