                                                                                                        The idea is to get younger. I'd prefer straight up though; while the age gap is in my favor, Spurg is easily the better dman in a vacuum.

                                                                                                        Spurg has only scored 30+ points twice in his career, while Faulk has done it every year. Also the fact that Spurg averages 66 games a season is a cause for concern with injury history...
                                                                                                        Also Spurg has a NTC so we couldn't move him again before expansion, losing him for nothing... also makes more...
                                                                                                        In a vacuum Spurg is the better defensive defensemen, where as Faulk has the offense...

                                                                                                        So likely a 1 for 1 swap wouldn't work...
                                                                                                        Would likely be easier to do it around picks and prospects if you had interest in Faulk and wanted to keep Spurg
