Rask for Anisimov is not much of an upgrade for the Hawks and not sure the backwards step for Carolina is worth a 2nd. I think Duclair would be a great fit for Carolina packaged with Anisimov for Faulk is the best trade as we need help on D and would be much better then signing Moore.

Nick Schmaltz in a 2C role is a failure....can't have your 2C with a FO% of under 40%....that's just bad and putting extra stress on Toews especially on the penalty.

MTL will keep Gallagher - we have plenty of other players that are actually available

not for Saad - Chucky is younger and still has some upside (and cheaper)

the reality is that Saad doesn't fit our needs... we need centermen and a LHD... not another winger.

Rask is a positive face off guy, Anisimov is not. That's the upgrade. Anisimov provides Carolina with a veteran for the younger guys in the system (Svechnikov and Zykov).

I just don't see Carolina doing this, they need Centers and can't afford losing one. Anisimov , Murphy and Saad are all good trades for the Hawks but Hawks need Defense in return at some point and instead of going after Rask, why not just bring in Riley Nash for cheaper for a 3C?
