With the Jets need at Center I looked deeper into the UFA list and found a perfect fit with Thornton, later I thought a move with Oilers would be perfect.

Selling really low on that package. Myers is likely worth more than that on his own, and though Perreault and Kulikov are by no means bargain contracts, they are by no means cap dumps and you can find a market there, (you'd definitely need to retain on Kulikov). Probably not for huge return, but you can get a better haul than this

"It's no secret I'm a Shark," Thornton said "I bleed teal and I want to come back and I know I'm going to be healthy when I come back. I'm sure we can figure something out, but I want to come back."
Doug Wilson also said he wants him back. He's not going anywhere.

Re-signing Stastny would be more realistic.
