First deal you areant parting with any quality pieces just a bunch of fillers for an elite defenceman that is 21 and a solid 24/25 3rd center who could be top 6 by next year, Hossa dump will not take a 1st to get rid of otherwise Chicago will hold onto him, Tavev is worth maybe at best a low 1st not a top 10 pick not to mention his injury history, Carlson will be getting paid and going to a playoff team not a team in rebuild because by the time they will be contending he will be in his 30's.

That sin't anywhere near value for hanifin. You would need to add the 7th OA as well as parts of this deal (not everyone in this deal)

Hossa is not a cap dump. He's on LTIR. Care to explain how having Hossa or LTIR, or any player is LTIR is cap detrimental?

Well, even though it doesn't count against the cap, the owners still must pay them. Some teams like Flordia and NYI's owners don't like to spend as much money. Whereas Vancouver owner's has said they will pay up to the cap every year for the team's benefit. Pretty much if Chicago's owners have put a money limit on Stan Bowman, he might want to move Hossa.

Insurance pays for virtually all players on LTIR or IR, so what's this bit about owners' paying? But if you're correct, the Coyotes don't want to pay Hossa for NOT playing, not team does. Really it's 95% of these LTIR are completely misunderstood, there is no benefit to Hawks or Coyotes for a trade.
