Chi trade?

Description
Chi trade - price depends on how bad Chi wants the cap relief. I understand with the cap going up significantly - Chi isn't under as much pressure- but this is just for fun!! Maybe an upgrade from Kylington to Andersson or Bennett to Jankowski would be required? Or a pick? Of course Kane also has his no movement clause!!
I don't know if Kane and Gaudreau on top line works so I also did the NYR trade.
The NYR trade - Hayes reunites with Johnny. NYR rebuild - get Fox and Dube, and has room for Brouwer in transition.
Line-up - maybe put Ferland in for Foo, and Mangiapane with Backlund and Frolik. Either way would be nice if one of the internal young guys could step into the top 9.
Future - Things would get tight after next year, with Tkachuk signing. If a couple internal prospect options on D and in goal can become reliable starters, it should be fine.

Kane is an elite player in his prime. Look at what Nash, a 33 year old declining winger got at the deadline. Double that at least.

Fair enough - I agree Kane is the most unlikely of the core to go.
However everyone plays the 'would be cool' game. Both of you commenting here that my idea will never happen - have created teams depicting scenarios where Chicago get John Tavares - another long term +$10 mill player.
How likely is that!!!
But aside from that - as for my cost:
Brodie should fetch a 1st and a 2nd, or a 1st and a couple 3rds.
Bennett - despite his slower development should still command a late 1st or a couple 2nds.
Kylington - is developing well and would command the 2nd (he was drafted at) plus more - probably another 2nd.
So if CGY offered 2x1sts, 2x2nds, and 2x3rds, Chi would listen.
Now you can argue that Chi would not be interested in this combo of players, but I stand by the approximate value of the package.
Thanks

Seeing Kane with Gaudreau at the World's was magic, but tend to agree he won't be traded. I think you might be able to get Toews, though. I might give up Backlund+ for him....

I believe Kane gives you the Clint Eastwood thousand yard stare and says "get off my lawn."
