Hanifin AND the #2OA pick? You're kidding, right? I'm a Habs fan and think Max is pretty great, but what you've got here is nutty.

Schlemko? Yup ... maybe. Does SJ want him back?

There is no way Patches and his term is worth Hanifan and his years of "control", though this seems to be a Hab fans theme in all Patches trades.

This is not the 2nd overall pick... it's a second rounder in 2019. From what I care about this trade, Carolina gets what they want in a 1st line left wing and an upcoming goalie that has great potential. Carolina has plenty of D to spare.

Everyone says Pacioretty isn’t worth anything because of his term though, one year left, turning 30, brittle are all things I see in comment with a Pacioretty trade. But he is worth a young good prospect and a pick, not Hanafin, but the conflict between Habs fans and other fans with these trades is that everyone from other teams seems to think he is worthless. Heard some people say he is only worth a second round pick, on the other side though you have Hans fans who have watched how good he is, watched him score goal after goal with David deharnais and see his trade value as a 30 goal scorer. Going to be interesting where his trade value actually goes.

My opinion is Patches doesn't get a first rounder or a high prospect from a out of the playoff team this summer. Patches trade value might actually be higher near to TDL which a true contender is making a playoff push.

Apologies. I still suspect Hanifin is too big an ask, but it's not as nutty as before (when I had misread it at 4AM)
