I wouldn't do it if I was Boston. Phil (like Seguin) is never coming back to Boston.

If Seguin wanted to come back to Boston, you wouldn't want him back?

Then the Pens may be forced to deal him for pennies on the dollar, or have to live with a malcontent who is turning sour to the organization (assuming the reports are true, of course) who also ties up 6.8M in cap space.

Oh I'd take Seguin back, but in his first return to Boston since the trade he said he wouldn't come back.

“I’ve been that asked that question a few times if I got a contract or a trade to come back here or asked, I don’t think I’d come back,”

“In the end, you wanna play where you’re wanted."

“It was 100 percent a special game,” Seguin said. “I knew where this was on the calendar, I knew when we were coming to Boston. Obviously the win not only for me personally, but for the team, that was a great identity win for us.

That same game he returned, fans boo'd him every time he touched the puck. I personally would love to have Seguin back (reunite him w/ Bergy & Marchy), but it sounds like that ship has sailed.

Ehhh, nothing is certain. Lol he can say all he wants. The breakup was embarassing for him and certainly for the Bruins, but several key people who were responsible for that decision are no longer there (with the exception of Neely sadly). I think if it was Boston vs Dallas they'd have no chance for sure. But if he decides he wants to leave Dallas for somewhere else (similar to JT and NYI), I think the Bruins would have a shot. Supposedly he's still very good friends with Marchand, isn't he?

No idea. I'm sure they still keep in touch, but they probably are not as close as they used to be. With how he was treated on his way out though, I'd imagine Boston would either need to overpay him or he'd have to be traded here against his will. Obviously I'm just assuming and for some, time heals the wounds, but Seguin seems to enjoy sticking it Boston (10GP / 5G / 4A) every time he faces us.

The pens dont HAVE to trade him. Kessel isn't a spoiled brat who will be lazy if he doesn't get his way. If they do trade him, they'll get a good return. I just cant see pittsburgh trading him to a eastern conference playoff team like boston
