I haven't heard that he wants to be traded? Every thing i've heard is that he wants to remain in Pittsburgh. But still he's not waiving for a bottom feeding team regardless.

Domi had 45 points in less than 80 games on a crap team this year. I wouldn't call that a 3rd line winger.

Lets stop pretending it's the line mates that made kessel put up large numbers year after year. McKinnen had junk team mates too he still put up points.
There is simply a large talent gap between the two. You don't trade someone off a 92 point season for a 2nd and a guy who spent last year on the 3rd line. You can get a much higher return.

Of course Kessel puts up points, but I think there's a reason he ends up running into bad relationships and controversy everywhere he goes.
