Oh my.... I mean. Winnipeg would literally laugh you right off the phone with that. I mean... that's TERRRRRRRRRRRIBLE if you think you are dealing a 50 pts 30 year old Toews signed to a 10.5M deal for 5 more years for a 1C and 1D in Little and Trouba. I mean. That's laughable. A 29th overall pick and a back up goalie doesn't push the scales.

By no means is this a good deal, but you're definitely mistaken if you think Little is a 1C.

I was merely stating where he put him on Chicago's lines. 42-64 pts in each of the last 5 years as WPG's 2C.

This isn't that bad if you remove Forsling and put in Murphy plus the picks and Toews. As a Hawks fan, Little won't replace Toews, that's pretty bad so Hawks are stuck looking for a 1C.

Youre also mistaken if you think Forsling is a goalie...hes an elite D prospect. Will likely be a top 4 puck mover with a nasty clapper.

Pegs gonna have to resign Laine Connor Wheeler and Myers next year who are all more valuable than Little...no way they can do it without shedding some cap. This trade makes Winnipeg better in 3 years when guys like Laine and Connor are in their primes. Maybe the hawks retain 2-3M on Toews, but he brings the winning pedigree jets desperately need in the playoffs and gives them the best center depth in the league besides PIT

Without a doubt leaves the hawks weaker at the pivot but helps fill this teams biggest hole right now which is D

There is no such think as an elite top 4 defence prospect. If you're an elite prospect, you should be expecting top pair. So what you are saying is Frosling could be a capable NHL defenceman. Also if Chicago retained some money, I could see Winnipeg considering the trade. Toews is a big step up from Little and would be an improvement over Stastny at the 2C spot for the Jets. If they took Little and took on salary as well, that would be a decent trade. I would exclude Trouba however and instead take a pick back from the Jets.

Something like Little and a couple 2nds to Chicago and the Jets get Toews at 7.5 or maybe even 7 million. And its not that bad of a trade.
