Description

Go all in and give Cooper one last chance to get the job done. Then next year comes the Callahan buyout/cap dump and Killorn cap dump. Let McDonagh and Girardi walk as UFAs, and see about re-signing Stralman to a slightly discounted extension. Let Gourde walk if need be, and hope that maybe Katchouk and/or Volkov are ready. Prioritize the Kucherov and Karlsson extensions. Bridge Point ala Kucherov, and look for any possible retained-salary trade for the Ryan contract. I'll go back to sleep now.

I am not sure that Callahan would waive his NTC for Ottawa, and since he's re-injured something again I would not be surprised to see LTIR be his new roster spot, but his cap can work out this season regardless. The Ryan contract the next offseason will be tricky because of the Vasilevskiy and Sergachev extensions.
