Rumor is Vegas wouldn't part with Glass for Karlsson at the deadline...

I don't see Tavares signing for that little either.

There's no realistic way to upgrade the Pens D without blowing a hole in the cap and the forward corps. Like it or not unless someone gift-wraps us a defenseman or a free agent signs to play on the 3rd pairing, the best the Pens can do is scrape up a project defenseman to potentially upgrade Ruhwedel.

Who do you retain: Letang or Hunwick?

Retain as in keep? Letang, obviously. Unless some team sells the farm for him and the ink is drying on a contract for Carlson, Letang is more useful as a player than a trade piece. Hunwick can be buried or traded if the cap space is needed or he truly bombs next season, it's not nearly as big a deal as it's been made out to be.

i agree that the tavares number is low, but so is crosby and malkins. some players are not all about the money, the chance to win means more. hoping the same applies for the leafs big 3....if not, they will end up like the hawks in 5 yrs...but i guess you cant complain with 3 cups.

Letang better step up his game next season, or he will need to ride his golden parachute elsewhere.
