For once we’ve actually come across a realistic Sens fan! I’m gonna flay you for your line choices tho. Buddy, what are you doing playing Dzingel with Duchy? Put Mark Stone there and you have yourself a top 5 line in Skinner-Duchy-Stone. Zadina should be in your top 6 right away. You traded Hoff for Nuge, put Dzingel with Nuge and Zadina, that is your ideal 2nd line, great combination of penalty killing, defense, and a skilled offensive group. Zadina could easily put 27, 28 goals up with those 2, and he’s not a defensive liability. That also frees up Bobby R to play with chlapik and Pääjärvi. So now in a year with those trades, you have a great top 6. Your top 4 on D isn’t bad either and maybe Stone for Ceci is a bit more likely than any pick you were thinking about moving for him, because Zack Smith probably is on your team next year unless someone in the western conference needs a PKer, which every team in the West needs. All in all, this is a pretty nice armchair GM.

I just wanted to play the two Czech guys next to each other, and Duch-Dzingel showed some good Chem last year.

Hoffman for Nuge, Nope, not going to happen unless a 2nd round pick+ is added. Got rid of a RH Hoffman in Eberle last year, watched Hoffman get blown past in the neutral zone last season, that changed a lot of opinions on Hoffman in Edmonton. Nuge isn't being traded unless the player coming back knows where their own zone is.

Plus Hoffman is poison right now, doubt they will find much interest anywhere now, Ottawa will probably have to sell very low to get rid of him.

So would you do it if I changed the 2019 4th into a 2018 2nd? And Hoffman isn’t thaaat bad in his own zone, he just has 1 or 2 plays of him that went viral in where he got destroyed, other than that he’s not too bad.

I like the Skinner trade after a RNH trade were to happen. If you lock down the 2C spot with an exceptional talent in RNH, Brown is a blue chip down the middle we can use to upgrade on the wing.

Since RNH is now being used as McDavid's LW, I think adding a 2nd to a deal for Hoffman would make it more palatable/probable, if it does happen I am thinking there would be salary retained as well, since Ottawa has the cap room. Although as much as I like the idea of adding Hoffman's scoring ability, the off-ice stuff is very off-putting so I wouldn't touch him with a 10-foot pole, but Chiarelli is still the Oilers GM, so anything is possible.
