Not getting enough for taking on Orpik. The Capitals would only be moving 6 spots back and need to give up more if want to do that and the Red Wings take on Orpik’s salary so that they can resign Carlson

I think Washington would take a later 3rd round pick for their 1st round and taking Orpik. I like the Nyquist / Hartman move. I havent seen that done. I think Detroit would have to find a way to cut ties completely though, they cant afford to hold CAP even if its just for one year. Holland is too loyal to buyout Ericsson and Zetterberg/Kronwall will not allow him to do so.

yeah your right we probably could get more than moving up from Washington.
