Boy these Flyers proposals really try to screw the Flames on Hamilton acquisitions.

We are not going to trade a key piece of our core for spare parts or old players. We already have 6 pro goalies signed for next year. What are we going to do with two more? ..and you couldn't even give us a good goalie prospect. Instead you toss us your 3rd stringer who's career has been circling the drain for about 3 years now, and what's probably your 4th best goalie prospect behind Hart, Stolarz and Lyon. Sheesh.

Laughton has failed to meet expectations. He's a marginal bottom six forward at this point, and middling 1st round pick?

No thanks.

sandstrom is our 2nd best goalie prospect. He had a down year but he has way more upside than stolarz or lyon

I see Hamilton is included in a lot of deals and I don't know why. Is there a lot of chatter that he wants out of Calgary or something? I really don't see any reason why Calgary would be trading him short of that.

Andy MacDonald is moving towards getting an asset in return in a trade now that he's down to 2 years left. That return is not a 3rd rd pick.

No, the Flames don't want to trade him and aren't actively shopping him. It was reported that teams were calling Treliving and asking about him but that the Flames aren't interested in moving him unless a team blows their socks off.

This proposed offer wouldn't even move the needle.

There are a lot of teams who need a top pair RHD. Dougie is 25 on an amazing value contract, score 45 -50 pts a year and led the league in goals for a D last year. As a result he is often in other teams wish lists for trades but unfortunately most are like this one - completely unrealistic with little to no equivilant value going the Flames way. Check out Flames trade proposals and u will rarely see DH mentioned.
