The title is simply untrue... however, Hoffman makes you better.

I'd say no to the best top 6. You need to have the best centres to make that a reality. Pittsburgh still holds the title, Crosby and Malkin is way better than Barkov and Trocheck. Florida is good but Hoffman doesn't make them a contender, they are still a tad behind the top teams in the East. On the rise though!

I'm not a Florida fan, but name a better group than that one.

I guess Pittsburgh edges them, but I can't think of another team that does.

That's not even the best top 6 in the State of Florida. I would say Pittsburgh or Tampa would have among the strongest top 6.

As a Leafs fan I'd say TO can give them a run for their money as well. Since they can thrown Nylander and Marner up there as well.

Toronto is good, but they don't have a 75 point second line center

True but I'd say Matthews and Marner have a higher ceiling than all 12 players we are talking about. Nylander is up there as well. Kadri may not be a 75 point scorer but he's back to back 30 goal scorer and a full season with Marner could see him approach 70 points. Kadri scored almost 60 and he had a 20 game stretch were he scored 1 goal and zero points.

Edmonton could have been up there had they not traded their best wingers...

All of the players listed played for Florida last year and what have they done? The Lightning D was not that great and I think Luongo plays a more solid game. The Lightning had one of the best offenses in the league which would be attributable primarily to the top 6.
