Would Montreal actually go for this? Buffalo gets a top-4 D, two good young wingers, a solid goalie prospect, and two decent draft picks... the 6th and Baptiste you could easily convince Buffalo to add

No. Two most valuable assets in the trade come from MTL. It wouldn't help them.

Plus Lehkonen is not a RFA.

I'd argue the most valuable asset is the #27 pick. Anyhow, Patches is a 1 year rental UFA, Lehkonen is a 1 year rental RFA.
