How do u equivalate hags who is in a final year of his deal in which if we could probably snag a late 2nd if we retained half and contract and a potential starting goaltender to a 3rd. That's not a cap dump thats straight stupidity

Im no expert but as much as i dont like the idea, im fairly convinced Bryan Rust won’t be resigned. Hes the only RFA thus far to have no preliminary talks with GMJR and there was a few reputable reports that we offered him in a package for Domi last week...

the knights trade makes no sense whatsoever, if they don't get much for him they should keep hagelin(let along throwing jarry in there, that makes even less sense)

as for the contracts, paying too much to rust and Johnson.

I like the other moves though.

guess he went over your overpay lol, clearly I was wrong and thought he learned from the sheary mistake. If he went 4 years I would be fine with 3mil and what you proposed wouldn't be too bad, for 2-3 years I would have said around 2.5. really hope that overpayment doesn't come back to bite the team later.

I fully agree it was an overpay for Rust, in this fake team as well as real life. Some times you just have to eat the philly cheese steak.
