Why in the world would you resign Connolly?! So much young talent ready to play. Also they don't need Krug (ie. O'Gara, Zboril, Miller, Morrow, Grezlyk, etc.). Jimmy needs to go. And Stempniak will cost close to $3M.

First of all, Why not sign Connolly? He will be cheap and has been playing well on the 4th line. And why would you want the young talent to be playing fourth line minutes with fourth line players?? The fact that you said that they don't need Krug shows how you have no idea about what they need, there is nearly 0 chance that O'Gara, Zboril, Grezlyk or even Miller could fill his void. Hayes is staying, we won't be able to off load him, so why not use him for what he is, a big presence in front of the net but limit his ice time to bottom 6 minutes. So next time make sure you know what you're talking about before you shut down someone's idea
