I'd look at the Darcy Kuemper package as a comparable for Ullmark, could probably even get more. 1st, prospects, 3rd</div></div>
Agree, but trying to be conservative to avoid comments like that other guys…

Ullmark has gone 71-17-4 with a .928 and 2.15 since 2021-22. If that can’t get a mid to late 1st…I dunno what to say.

Zboril
I hope Zboril ends up in Chicago where he we’ll get a lot of minutes. The physical tools are clearly there, the toolbox has issues. Has never had a chance to work out the kinks with stacked Boston bluelines.
I suspect he is waived by Boston. Mitchell really out performed him in camp and has a lower cap hit.

Scheifele and Hellebuyck
If Lindholm goes for that, Boston just tries to deal with Calgary directly. No interest in paying close to that for MS.

I find it hard to believe he will get a million more than Gustafson given their extremely similar profiles.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>stephane_robidas</b></div><div>how exactly?</div></div>
It’s a mid first and “stuff” they don’t need. Bruins have very few chips to modernize their center position. Swayman is one of them. Sending him off for some random first and stuff doesn’t get them anywhere.

DeBrusk is way better than the roster player that Vancouver got. You should be able to squeeze a prospect out of Boston too, though, but probably a worse one than Raty since the roster player is better. I think the Horvat return is reasonable. Scheiffle is better but older and will sign on to an even worse contract so it evens out.

Lindholm 2
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>princessTom</b></div><div>CGY def cant/shouldnt retain half on Lindholm, if they did the package would have to be better
wouldnt mind adding a late round pick, but CGY would have to take back some more cap for it to work (Forbs/Zboril)</div></div>
I dunno…that’s a better package than Horvat got and they are the same tier of player. On the open market a couple million in retention has been worth a 3rd. Perhaps that is the route with a 3rd team because I don’t think the Bruins can move Forbort despite his faults. Not sure how accepting Forbort is different to Calgary than the retention, unlike Boston they don’t need him to fill the top 6.

Drop the retention, add a late-to-mid-round pick, and you've got a deal.</div></div>
That won't work for Boston in both cap and value. Oh well!

I’m not so sure on Lorhei, TBH. Agree that Calgary might prefer more of a hockey trade and that is certainly a way the offer could turn.

Moving Carlo for a C is just shuffling chairs.
Swayman I think is too much value.
I wonder if 1st + Lysell + Frederic moves the needle?
DeBrusk+ on the table as well but would totally be dependent on DeBrusk wanting to re-sign in WPG which makes it hard to talk about.

Feels like WPG is giving up a lot to just play Carlo on the wrong side. It’s good value for Carlo tho, just don’t see how the Bruins could accept. Besides, Carlo’s NTC has now kicked in.

I don’t think it’s getting thru to Jets fans how soft the market for MS is. It’s like JT Miller. No one is giving up top assets to hand out a bad contract and MS next contract will start at 31 years old. I think MS just stays in WPG and y’all are bummed about the contract half way thru.

Sweeney says a lot of things…but I don’t see the Bruins trading their best under 25 talent for a guy they will have to re-sign to a bad contract. The path for Swayman to WPG is now in LA.

I would think you would be happy with an Ullmark/VV tandem for a year and let Schmidt learn to play more that 40 games in the AHL.
I don’t think there is a deal for a 1st with Ullmark this off-season. Too many broke teams. Bruins should sit on him and try again next summer.
