I like the roaster all but Kunitz he can retire.
But the problem is the cap space for next year. You will have to pay Jake, ZAR and find a 3C. You got 4.7 mil coming off the cap, and you don't know what the cap increase will be. Jake will probably run 5-6 mil. Hard to say he's still a RFA. ZAR will probably be 2 mil. you are looking at 8 mil right there. I don't think that's gonna work out to well. Cap went up 4.5 this year. If you get the same it puts you at 9.2 You aren't going to find a 3C for 1.2 million or even close. And that is with JVR on a very under paid contract he will get over 6 mil a year. Riley is under paid, so is Rust probably. I honestly don't think this fits the cap

Zero chance JVR signs that contract. He will probably be able to get $7 million for 7 years, and I do not think the pens have any interest in locking up a 30 year old player for that type of term.
