MIN says no thanks. A 30 point C is not enough for a 50 point RHD, even though AA still has some potential. Now for Larkin or Zadina the Wild would definitely be willing to talk but there's no way either of those two get traded.

Edit: Maybe if you included more then AA to the Wild for Dumba would make sense but no way would they do that 1 for 1

Nielson's contract is worse than Alzner and although Alzner isn't that good losing him still makes MTL's LD even worse. LD is a bigger issue than C. Nielson isn't the answer to MTL's struggles there anyways (far from it), they could just resign Plekanec and plug gaps until Kotkaniemi and Poehling make the team.

LMAO if you think the Wings would consider trading Zadina or Larkin, you’re drunk. I agree there needs to be more added, but don’t ever mention those names unless you’re giving up every prospect in your pool ?

Which is exactly why I said "but there's no way either of those two get traded" in my 1st post... The Wings would be crazy to trade those two, but if they want Dumba those are the types of players that would have to come back (not 1 for 1, but a deal centering around Dumba and one of those two plus more). Again, I want to emphasize since it doesn't seem like you fully read my first post, there's no way either of those two get traded from the Wings.

Still, no. Dumbs isn’t a one of a kind defenseman. He is very good, and I’ve liked him since his prep school hockey days... but you can get a few defenseman to his caliber in the league.

Exactly, there's a lot of good RHD available to trade for this offseason. My whole point is that a trade between the Wings and Wild revolving around Dumba doesn't make sense, the Wings wouldn't be willing to give up what the Wild would want and the Wild wouldn't want what the Wings would be willing to give up.

I agree. Although it would be awesome to have him aboard, we have a few RHD in our system who are actually supposed to be coming up in the next few years. We drafted a couple this year. I think it makes most sense for teams to stay put. AA isn’t what Minnesota needs
