You're on the right track; I would find a taker for Faksa and keep Ritchie. (Just my opinion).

Absolutely not. Faksa is one of the best two-way forwards in the game. Ended up 7th in the Selke race last season. Ritchie is a 4th line grinder, at best. Faksa is easily the better player and it's not even that close.

You have a solid replacement with Shore. With the scoring punch in the top 6, the way they'll play with speed and puck possession, they can absorb the loss of Faksa.

He may be able to replace him offensively, but Faksa's defensive metrics are where his value lies. Shore is nowhere close to the defensive player than Faksa is. Statistically, Shore was one of our worse forwards last season. Bottom line is that we don't have anyone in our system that could replace Radek Faksa if the Stars were to move him.
