I’d give up one of Makar/OTT pick. Both is too much

It's likely Barrie has to go the other way. Firstly for salary, secondly a cheaper attacking RHD for Ottawa. The Avs wouldn't need both Karlsson and Barrie. No way I'm giving up Makar AND Ottawa's potential first pick overall, especially with Timmins having concussion issues.

If I were the Avs I wouldn't be trading OTT's 1st until the lottery takes place. If COL were to win the lottery with OTT's pick, I think it is just as valuable as Karlsson.

I would shift the pick now if we can get Karlsson to sign as we are taking a gamble on getting the first when it is not guaranteed, a Karlsson contract would be guaranteed so worth the gamble.

And I would move Timmins over Makar, And think if there are to take Wilson, I think we would have to take Ryan in return to take some of the cap from him.
