That's a significantly better team than last year so I think yes, that team is making the playoffs. BUT, I don't think youre pulling Skinner and Faulk for the package.

Agreed, I think he'd at least need to add another 1st and drop the late round picks he has the Canes sending back. Maybe another top prospect instead.

Not enough in the Carolina trade to pull one of the better 2 way defenseman and a 30 goal scorer.

Faulk = one of the best two way d-men in the NHL??? WHAT?!?! Hahahaha okay I must admit, that was a nice joke! This guy is a PP specialist, just like Mike Green, but not as good as M.G. He's horrible in his own zone. He's been on the trading block for more than 2 years now. There's no real interest in him, especially for the kind of value that you're referring to!

Skinner scored 30 goals 3 times in 7 seasons and only once in the last 4 seasons. I wouldn't way he's a consistent "30 goals scorer", but more that he's capable of scoring 30 goals giving the right circumstances. He's also a 50-55pts a year guy, which is valuable, YES, but not for a massive return.

Anyhow, I still think ARI needs to pay more to obtain Skinner + Faulk. No picks coming from CAR and add a '19 2nd round pick going to CAR.

I, too, think they'll compete for a playoff spot this season but will fall just short by 3-4 points.

if they’re so bad, why do you want them? Awful and untrue argument.

Every "arguments" I wrote are totally true and are facts not "arguments". I'm not saying they're bad, I'm just correcting what you wrote by bringing you down to earth a little. How you describe Faulk was one of the most laughable thing ever written on this website. And for Skinner, how can this be "untrue"?? I stated FACTS lol. Look it up yourself, pal (www.hockeydb.com)...I don't really care that I hurt your feelings because what I said wasn't what you were thinking. It's the truth, it's facts, it's mesured by simple statistics gathering (J.Skinner) and by advanced statistics (J.Faulk).

What’s funny about your statement is that he has better advanced defensive stats than Doughty, Vlasic, Burns, Karlsson. On top of that, he’s a great PP catalyst. If you watch hockey, and think he’s a bad player? You’re drunk. Skinner in 82 games, averages 28 goals, boss. They’re shopping these guys because the return is going to be high. Faulk is a great defenseman but they can get a great center and keep their d core and be even better. Please, look into things. Really disturbing how ignorant this whole thing is.
