Trades for Draft Picks

Description
The object of this exercise is to be able to shut down the draft table and start drinking early. (Besides, with this roster, who needs stab-in-the-dark picks?) I'd love your comments on these swaps, as well as the whole scheme. Also, note that there is plenty of cap room to sign Matthews, Marner, Kapanen and whoever next year. I'm promoting Trevor Moore rather than one of the three Swedes because he's from Ventura County.

I think you would be interested in this paper trying to determine draft pick value: http://myslu.stlawu.edu/~msch/sports/Schuckers_NHL_Draft.pdf

A little old now but conceptually right what you are looking for I think. Also no way Johnsson takes that little for 4 years.

Excellent resource for hockey fans interested in taking a deeper dive into some of the numbers. Personally, I don't really get why the Leafs would deal Grundstrom. I do like the Derek Grant signing though. If Trevor Moore does make the NHL, I think it will be on the wing first, before he gets a shot at center.

Thanks a ton!! By the way, three different guys yelled at me when I gave Johnsson $2.5M in earlier teams.

I covet that Vancouver second-rounder. What's the worst it will be? #35?
