There's some chatter going around in the Twitterverse that LaDue is going to sign a one year, one-way contract around $825k in the next few days. Less money than the qualifying offer, but guaranteed the higher rate in the event he gets returned to Ontario. That makes him an arbitration-eligible RFA again next year, and gives him a better case to bring to arbitration at that time.

Should give you a (little) bit more money to work with.
