Description

With the gain of Pageau and a good amount of picks, Pageau can help Vegas up the middle, something they didn't have during the playoffs.

With the loss of Eakin and retaining half of Callahan's contract, it does hurt them that much. They will still have lots of cap to re-sign Fleury, Tuch and Schmidt.

A team can only retain 2 salaries per season, so you'd have to send Eakin for full salary and probably lose a round's worth of value.

I get where your coming from, but I think he would help the young core out pretty well. I guess we will never know where he wants to go.

Oh my bad! I thought it was three! Yes Eakin would get trade for probably more draft picks because Rangers are taking up a bad contract.

I agree that he would be good for the young kids but why would he agree to go to that dumpster fire of an organization to finish out his career?

I don't think he will finish off just yet, I can see Tampa or even the Rangers bring him back for another year to help them out after his two years is up.

Maybe but the guy is constantly injured. He might just say enough is enough. He has already made his dough.

I really like Pageau, but Center is the position we need the least. What we really need is a left winger to pair with Stastny and Tuch on the second line and a right winger on the third line unless Glass and Suzuki are willing to play on the wings.
