oilers accounting for expansion draft

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Assuming same protection rules as vegas. The 7 forwards Edmonton protects would be;
McDavid, Nuge, Drai, Yamamoto, Pulj, strome, lucic (unless he waives nmc, then we'd protect khaira or the mid 6 winger i traded sekera for)
the 3 defense would be; klefbomb, larson and nurse (bouchard is already automatically protected)

The only way to protect our young top defenseman is to get rid of sekera and russel, if a trade with Russel is possible for sure do it, I just bought him out for simplicity

    Yamamoto would be protected as well...He is still on his ELC

    I just heard about this CBA thing with a potential for 2 compliance buyouts. If that could happen before the next expansion draft Edmonton’s golden. See ya Lucic!

    A lot of teams lost good young talent bc they signed some free agent to terrible contracts. So it only seems fair?? LoL

    Being on an ELC inst what makes you protected, its if you have only been in the league for 2 years or something like that search it up. kinda confusing but im very confident that the 2018 and 19 draft classes are the only draft classes protected from expansion.

    I heard about that to! but unfortunately the current cba doesn't run out until after the proposed Seattle expansion draft.

    has nothing to do with draft classes has to do with years on professional hockey played. yamo is at 0 years if you have played 2 or less you are exempt. so if there was a draft was in 2020 yamo would be exempt.
    If he had played last season then he would need to be protected.
