Replace Lindgren with Hudon and there might be a deal here. Well, I’d be interested in that deal. Treliving might be set on CGY’s blue line and unwilling to make changes to it right now. Giordano/Brodie was a lethal pair a few years back.

Actually a really solid trade for both teams. I think both teams would do something like this

I agree on the Hudon for Lindgren front mentioned before. As a Habs fan, Bennett is merely a toss-in here and hope for the best and to get Brodie would be something the Habs need. Would be nice for the Habs but too optimistic I think.

Bennett is only 22 years old. I wouldn't say he is a toss in.. Merely hasn't developed in his current environment. Plenty of time to become a top 6 player though. Look at Josh Bailey or Bennett's teammate Mikael Backlund. Both guys didn't do much until they were 24-25 but now look pretty decent.

If I'm CGY I wouldn't move Bennett yet. Still too young to give up on this kid.

I think the Habs would be lucky to get Brodie for Patches straight up. So that would make Bennett a toss-in.

Hmm maybe just debating semantics here then. I wouldn't use the term toss in. I'd say anything added to Brodie for Pacioretty is extra gravy. laugh
