It May Not Look Like It Now, But the Future is Bright

Created by: Kotkaniemi15
Team: 2019-20 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 28, 2018
Published: Jul. 28, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Amazing center depth (has this ever been used to describe Montreal?) and an All-World goalie. This team is young and fast, and is fine rolling all 4 lines. This team has only 3 players over 30! Plus Ylonen, Romanov, Hillis, Olofsson, Brook, Ikonen, Fleury, Primeau, Vejdemo, Bitten, MTL 2019 1st, ANA 2019 1st, and the other picks in 2019. It may take a year for Kotkaniemi and Poehling to develop, but the future is bright for the Canadiens if Bergevin plays his cards right.

The only question is - Who is going to be traded in Bergevin's annual 1 for 1 June blockbuster?

Lehkonen will have to get a 35-40 goals kind of season to land this kind of contract, not impossible, but..

Yeah I may have been a little high on his contract, but IMO it's probably best to lock him up long term.

Yes, he is a serious guy who will do everything to get better, perfect prototype for a city like Montreal
