McCoshen is still waiver excempt remember but if you don’t want a LD would you swap McCoshen for Weegar and still make the deal?

In the end this basically boils down to Hayes and us taking McGinn's contract this year for a mid 1st. Like the other user said, the Rangers don't really have room for McCoshen. Weegar also probably is an AHL/NHL tweener for us, we'd rather invest in DeAngelo and Pionk who have more potential. If you're thinking that us taking McGinn is good for us, you'd be wrong, the Rangers don't really have a use for Jamie McGinn, so us taking him is just a cap credit for y'all. I don't really think it's unfair, considering I'd expect Florida's pick to be in the teens somewhere. It's a good offer in my opinion, and it's always interesting to know who is interested in Rangers players and might be a good dance partner. I would probably accept it, maybe change McCoshen to Bajkov or Schemitsch or something.

Florida doesn’t need Hayes. They already have one center playing RW in the top ) because they have Barkov and Trochek, next year they will need to have some space for Borgstrom to play significant minutes.

Doesn't seem like a good fit for trade partners...

The Rangers do not need LHD, and the Panthers have a really strong set of centers, they would likely be the team moving centers for help in other areas of need.

Still can't see the reasoning behind this burning desire to trade Hayes right now either. I don't get it!
