You do know you won’t get that out of Ott if you don’t offer prospect instead of Barrie. They want guys like Kerfoot and Jost

Thats a complete laughtbale over payment from teh Avs. The Sens have 0 leverage when trading with the Avs. They arent getting anything close to that

Let's think about this a bit...The last 2 years stats:
Wennberg...21 G / 73 A / 94 PTS
Duchene...45 G / 55 A / 100 PTS

Wennberg has great vision, plays good two-way hockey, makes over $1M less, and is 4 years younger.
Wennberg might actually out point Duchene this upcoming year.
I think Columbus would politely decline this trade.

If you think the two players are close, you haven't watched either player play. Duchene is much better and the stats show that too.

Last season:
Wennberg had 61% offensive zone starts with a PDO (luckiness) of 102.2,
Duchene had 51% offensive zone starts with a PDO of 97.9

So basically Duchene had a much more defensive role than Wennberg and was considerably more unlucky than Wennberg but still put up 27 goals and 59 points.
Wennberg has only 6 more goals in his ENTIRE career than Duchene had last season.
