Rangers trade is good, why give Vancouver so much for so little return? Take out Erne and the draft picks and Vancouver needs to add still, Grunlund, Tanev, 2nd for Killorn, Keokkeok

I actually love this from a bolts perspective.
Gives them the ability to clear some cap space, acquire a solid top-4 d man + allow Dotchin to maybe take over as the 6th d man next season.
Tampa would have like 11 million to give Point and Gourde extensions

His trade is at least the right idea though, even if you think the value might be off. The Canucks will want futures of some kind for Tanev, so a late 1st and a prospect are what they’d be after. No way they’ll deal him plus a pick to acquire a middle six winger and depth Dman.

What do you believe Granlund would ask for next year so I can make a part two. As I am a huge lightning fan I don’t get to watch Vancouver much besides when they play the bolts. I just know he can chip in here and there and Is responsible on defense. It sounds to me like he would be a 2-3 M dollar guy. But again I can’t watch Vancouver that much so I would be interested to see what other people might say.

I could see Granlund being dealt at this year's deadline for sure. Benning added too many bottom six guys in free agency and most of Van's talented kids that will push for scoring roles are forwards. Granlund may be squeezed out even though he is a decent player.
