Description
assuming cap goes above 81.5 mil (2 mil up) which can be expected with the vegas money the team looks solid and I didnt give any team friendly deals some players may take. some things may not happen like tyler myers and some players in johnsson and kapanen could have break through seasons and get larger pay days but if that happens the leafs just need to not sign myers or gardiner and use that money towards keeping others.

I don’t understand the hate he gets. Defensively his number are fine. On top of his offensive numbers it is great. He is a turnover machine, which is quite common for those that lead the breakout (see: Doughty). His failures have been well documented because they tend to happen at the worst time (see: Game 7). Because of his inopportune timing, the trolly internet has deemed him a liability, which triggers the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon. If someone points out something to you, you are going to be subconsciously looking for it, therefore more aware.

I'm also sick and tired of hearing that about Gardiner. Thanks for coming up with the Baader-Meinhof bias. To make things worse, Jake played a tremendous role in that series (Game 6 in particular), but so many people remember only the third period of Game 7. What really happened then doesn't even justify the flawed narrative that haters are sharing on the web. Gardiner was caught on speed on one play, which rarely happens, and DeBrusk scored a goal with no angle, a shot that Andersen would have stopped 99 times out of 100.

Nothing about the internet and what people point. Nothing with him being the first to breakout and I don’t think doughty is worth 11M either. I watch the games I sit and yell at the tv that my wife tell me she will turn the game off because instead of moving the puck he scared shitless and loses the puck in the corner. The air head pass he makes up the middle when the first thing you are taught is off the boards so please spare me the numbers and the rest. More than 10 games that he either caused the lose or ending up in overtime
